About the project
Unnecessary school absences, psychological distress, unintended pregnancies, female genital mutilation, and general abuse are to be avoided.
Since 2021, workshops on fertility, menstruation, and conception management have been conducted for girls aged 11–13 in Ethiopia. The internationally recognized "Cycle-Show" workshop (MFM-Programm.de) is led by 17 dedicated instructors. Since 2023, these sessions have been taught exclusively by Ethiopian women in one of the local languages.
Schools value this engaging training as a way to communicate this taboo subject.
Many church communities use this workshop to improve the protection of girls. To date (March 2026), 5,500 girls and approximately 3,000 adults have been reached. Every year, over 2 million girls are in need of such training. There is, therefore, still much to be done.
We are looking for additional staff, both in administration and in the support and training of the instructors!
